Annas*, aged 14, wants to be a doctor when he’s older. For now, he’s studying at a UNICEF school in Jordan's Zaatari refugee camp.
"Life is difficult here in Zaatari because of the heat and the dust. This is a desert and it's hard every day", he says.
"But I'm here for my education and nothing can stop me.
Aid from the UK is helping provide education for over 1,000 children, who, like Annas, are refugees from Syria's ongoing conflict.
"I came here 10 months ago with my parents, my sisters and brother, because of the bombing and the situation in our home town in Syria", says Annas.
"I want to be a doctor when I'm older, so that I can help people and save lives. And I hope to be able to go back to Syria, to help rebuild my country and have peace of mind once more."
